The start of a league may sound impressive to many users, partly because not
everyone have the same amount of time to invest in the game.
In order to maximize the WebSimHockey experience, we have splitted the public
leagues in two distinct startup modes: Regular and Fast.
regular mode
The regular mode is designed for those who have less time to devote to the
simulator, such as between 5 to 10 minutes per day.
- The first step, the Cities Draft, will take between 5 to 7 days.
- The second step, the Players Draft, will take between 4 and 5 weeks.
Users who register in this startup mode should not put pressure on the GMs who
have access to a computer once a day.
However, the league commissionner can still take control of a team that takes too
long to make his selection, provided that the rule was clearly established
before starting the draft.
fast mode
The fast mode is designed for those who have access to a computer very regularly
and can thus continuously follow the activities of the league.
- The first step, the Cities Draft, will take between 2 to 3 days
- The second step, the Players Draft, will take between 2 and 3 weeks.
Users who register in this startup mode are aware that the commissionner may
draft for them to advance the league faster. High availability is also required,
day after day, until the end of the entry draft.
Despite the fast mode, the commissionner must establish clear rules before the
draft begins.
