Public
Public leagues are open to everyone (not password protected). You can ask your friends to join your league until it has reached the 24 GM limit. You will need to pay the subscription fees to secure your spot in the league. IMPORTANT: once created, a public league may not be modified in any way (draft speed/evolution/rules,etc).

Private
Private leagues are password-protected. You can ask for the password of a private league by clicking on the "Request Password" icon. Once you are in the league, you won't have to pay your subscription fees to secure your spot. The league owner, however, has the right to replace you at any time before the league starts if you have not paid. IMPORTANT: once created, a private league may be modified by its creator except when in Game Mode (Pro/Rookie).

Regular Draft Speed
The regular mode is designed for those who have less time to devote to the simulator (between 5 to 10 minutes per day). It can take up to a month to draft the cities and players.

Fast Draft Speed
The fast mode is designed for those who have access to a computer most of the time and can continuously follow the activities of the league. It can take about 2 weeks to draft the cities and players.

Demo Mode
Full access for 15 days to a randomly-selected team. You can familiarize yourself with the site before deciding to join a new league.

There is no game simulation in this mode.

Rookie Mode
Simplified experience for the first season only - ideal for beginner GMs.

After a full season, your league will automatically upgrade to Pro mode.

Pro Mode
Includes everything Web Sim Hockey has to offer: fully customizable league rules and all of our advanced features.

Real Evolution
Players' attributes are re-evaluated once a year at the end of the season, based on the real players' performances.

Virtual Evolution
Players' attributes are re-evaluated twice a year: once at mid-season and once at the end of the season, based on known criteria such as age, investment in player evolution, and luck.

WebSim
Web Sim Hockey automatically creates public leagues in Rookie mode only for each player evolution and draft speed.

User
User-created leagues can be private or public, and are usually customized by the league owner. They can be in Pro or Rookie mode.
